>>>You won't find much other details on other Microsoft products since what is generally discussed is the currently available version and possibly the upcoming version (usually close to time of release). What exactly do you want to know in addition to this information?
Think about it: "Microsoft will support VFP 8 until 2010". I can't find a single hint about what support means in this context....
It could be:
1. MS will keep working on VFP 8 until 2010
2. MS will answer for supporting calls about VFP 8 until 2010
3. MS will fix bugs on VFP 8 until 2010
When I've been presenting conferences in Brazil or giving consulting to some companies, I heard a LOT of times the question:
"Does Microsoft support VFP? I don't think so, because several times I had problems with VFP and when I call MS they barely know that VFP is one of their products."Can you see the point here?
If a customer can't understand that statement and can't find information about it on the product or company web-site, I don't think that should be something advertised out there, because it really doesn't matter.
