A client just discovered this on the eve of implementation and it has me stumped -- at least at this late hour! When they try to move through a large dataset in a grid by using the mouse to move the thumb, or elevator as it is sometimes called, it doesn't seem to work. The thumb always rebounds to the top or bottom. Yet they can click in the scroll bar itself and both data and thumb move appropriately. What am I missing?

FWIW, the form is a QBE search. The recordsource for the grid is a read-only view to which the results of an SPT query have been appended. I suspect the problem has something to do with the datasource because I don't see this behavior with parameterized views. Can someone suggest a solution? I don't consider it a show-stopper but it would be nice to fix it.
