>I know (sometime better than some people) that JVP sometimes has "strong" feelings about things and like a bulldog he never gives up.

Nothing wrong with having strong feelings as long as you don't unsult others while defending your position.

>This place may be more "pleasant" becase he is not here. It's more pleasant because most people here agree with each other. FWIW John did participate in some great debates on the health and condition of VFP in the development world.

Yes most people here agree on something and it's that VFP is a great product and we won't accept from anybody else telling otherwise ;-D

>It's like people who complain about television or music that is objectionale. They always have recourse tune it out.......

Many do exactly that. That's probably one of the main reasons you don't see many persons arguing here. Or perhaps it's an age thing. Someday I'd like so see a survey on the age of VFP developers. I'm sure that the VFP crowd is older than many others. And with older persons usually comes what is called wisdom or sleepiness (depending on how you see things).

That could explain why majority here does'nt want to go to the barricade as much as younger developers. Heck five years from retirement why would they want to start a war. So instead they decided to let things go and see what happens.

Anyway why would they worry if the fox is not there after their retirement. And they worry even less with what will happen with that new .Net thingie.

And if on top of that the person complaining is not even a part of the inner circle or worst than that not an MVP who cares about what that person has to say even if it there are ideas that could help the community.

So Rodman I just gave you many ways on how to interpret the quietness over here.
