IIRC you should have no problems unles:

- DBC: you use DBC Events (but there is a way to get them back to previous versions)
- Menus: If you do not use pictures you should have no problems going back.
- Reports: VFP8 has some new report stuff, but reports have had very little change, so you should be OK.
- DBF: has new Autoincrement field. If you don'tr use it, you are OK (even then you can disable with a little work, if needed to go back).

I can't recall any other differences off hand but someone will chime in.
