Hi...

I need to be able to send a 'data block' from a PC to a device that's attached to the PC through COM1 and a RS232 connection. This will trigger the device to begin sending data to the PC. The data block that needs to be sent to the device is:

G

where is a data linkage escape character (hex 10h)
where is a block start (hex 02h)
where G is the code that gets the info going
where is a block end (hex 03h)
where is a 2 byte CCITT CRC-16 code

The device will then send data to the PC in a similar manner.

This is WAAAAAAAYYYYYY above my head. Can anyone help me out?
