Since I posted my query I found an older (over one year ago) message about this very subject. I had asked this question a long time ago and had forgotten I had printed it out and filed it. The SCCTEXT program did, in fact, work. I used
DO (HOME()+'SCCTEXT') with "MYFORM.SCX", "K", "MYFORM.SCA", .F.
Voila! My form was back!
BTW - I think some files work in 2 directions and some don't.

>It's been a while since I tried it, but theoretically the SCCTEXT.PRG that created the .SCA file should be able to recreate it. Just call it with the 4th parameter set to .F. - normally it uses .T. for creating the .SCA file.
