Brian,

Thanks for the ideas. I like the upsell options possibility for sales reps. I've got a targeted mail marketing campaign under way.

I was on the board of my children's preschool when they started looking for software. There are lots of options for day care centers and K-12 schools and virtually nothing for preschools running on a school year calendar. Voila...development idea. I developed in conjunction with the preschool which very kindly agreed to be my guinea pig.

>The software looks pretty nice. Did you work for a Preschool before? I never realized they have so many different tasks.

>Have you considered creating brochures and flyers you could mail to preschools? Or possibly to give to who you find as a sales help.

>I find that salesmen usually work on a sliding scale, the more they sell the higher there commission. It looks like you only have one type of license though so you may just go with a fixed commission. With software you can afford to give higher commissions because of the lack of a physical product.

>One suggestion is to offer training on the software for a fee. You could then have the local salesperson actually do the training and collect a high commission if he sells that. It would give him something to upsell to and put more money in his pocket.
