I have a machine running Slackware, on the occasion that I have an abnormal shutdown I must reset the date and time. If the machine shuts down normally the date and time do not need reset.

The clock in the Bios is correct. Any ideas on why I have to reset the clock?

The Motherboard is Aopen AX59Pro, AMD K6 - 450, Kernel 2.4.17
