There have been investigations into many strange and unexplained things, but such investigations have not produced anything that could be put into a nice neat nutshell to say: "hear it is and this is the way it is". Much remain unexplained, yet the world overwhemingly believe in the concept of an immortail soul.

The universal concept that there is a God, death, then some kind of judgment, then eternal life is found throughout the world, and seems to have originated independently of cross-curtural contamination in many cases. Very wierd.
