I read in the “Mere Mortals Developers Guide” that the framework allows me to make available different datasets in an application. I’d like to take advantage of this functionality, however I’d like one of the datasets to be local and the other to be available on a server on the Internet. I’d really like the user to be able to select a dataset at run time.

I haven’t had any experience with connecting to a remote dataset via an Internet, but it seems like something that being done. My questions are:

1. Is this something I can do with the Mere Mortals .NET framework?
2. Do you have any suggestions on how I might make a connection to a dataset via the Internet?
3. Can you refer me to any books and/or articles on the subject?

Any help would be appreciated!
