Whilst I didn't read the threads you mention I'm sure that Tek-Tips management would welcome hearing your concerns either by email or by telephone (there's a free-phone number on the site). I don't, by the way, have any special connection with Tek-Tips - I'm just a member.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Basically, I like that forum, but I do not like the fact, that messages are deleted without any notifications. For instance, I spent at least 20 min. trying to help guy, who accidentally (?) posted message in the wrong forum (should have been ASP.NET instead of ASP). Later I found, that threads were deleted. Same happened with me couple of times. David wrote in one of his e-mails, that I probably should not use tek-tips for a while since I'm not happy there. But as I said, the technical content is good, but the forum is quite different. You can not allow yourself to be off-topic, can not joke, etc. This site is much better in that regard. Here I can express my opinions/thoughts without concern about would it cause banning or deleting of messages.
That's just different forum's styles, I should probably accept it and move on...
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
