You mean a commercial ISP? (external to your company). Same thing. They would have to run a program as a Windows task or a Unix cron task.

In order for you to do it, you would have to write the program that does the work, with no interface if it is to be automated. But how would you trigger it from a web page? The best and most efficient way is as I have outlined.

A kludge, in case your provider does not want to set up this kind or automated process, would be to have a web page that does it and you call that webpage from a timer on the client side. Kludgy? Yes. And only works if the ISP allows you sufficient rights for your program to do whatever maintenance/cleanup you require.

There may be other options that I'm not thinking of. In any case, someone may chime in with other choices.
