Thanks for the reply. Now i have a problem cause when i used your code the system gave me an error telling me :

OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from Microsoft JET Database Engine: You do not have the necessary permissions to use the 'C:\leaveTranfile.mde' object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissiion...

How can i supply the ADO Connection with a username and password. Moreover the MDE file is using the file C:\securelog.mdw to information about the database security.

Through ODBC is was simply passing the String :

"...;SystemDB=C:\SecureLog.mdw;UID=leavelog;PWD=leavelogadmin"

How can i obtain the same results using ADO Oledb.
