Are you running any tools written in VFP that may have been compiled in a earlier version. Generally, that is the cause of alot of errors when moving from one version to another.

Also, when you are getting alot of errors, deleting your Foxuser table and starting the system with the 'no config switch' then going into options and pressing set as default can help. Yes, you will have to reset all your settings again.

In any apps you are working in, make sure you have recompiled all class libs in VFP 8.0, once again, not doing this can cause funky stuff.

As someone else said, make sure your video driver is up to date... VFP drives video pretty hard.
