It is the politicians against the masses. The masses are only considered at election time. The rest of the time they are to be controlled and kept in place.

>>My favorite President is Thomas Jefferson. His concept that, “Citizens have the right to revolt if government no longer represents them”!, seems long over due. Both of our political parties seem to have lost touch with the people and the nation. Instead the two major parties seem self-serving and interested in only politics and the nation be damned.

Dmitry;

LOL! The project must go on!

August 8, 1974, Richard Nixon resigns as President of The United States. National television states, “This is the end of the Republican Party”! Really? :)

Just think that within our history the Democratic and Republican parties have “switched roles”. At one time (Lincoln) the Republicans were the party of the people and Democrats the business party.

Without a “two party system”, we would not know what to do! Then there is Ross Perot! So near and yet so far! :)

The difference between our two party system is simple. The Democrats throw the dog a bone and the Republicans take it away. The more we bark the more bones we get and have taken away.

Like the man on "Meet The Press" said last Sunday, “How is it that when Clinton left office there was a 5 Trillion dollar surplus and less than two years later there is a 2 Trillion dollar deficient? What happened to the 7 Trillion dollars? Do not worry! It is just a number with a few zeros after it. I can assure you that someone has that money – we just cannot see it!
