i may be missing something very simple, but when using dropdown lists and combos, i have always had to use a complex system of ligical variables to smooth out the operation. for example: the combo/list gets focus and i have code to drop it down. user clicks on something. user comes back to combo/list to select something else and clicks on the little down arrow to drop it down. it all falls apart here if i don't write the logical vars in to see if the user has been here before and what to do if he has etc. the dropdown shows for a second and then rolls up again and the first in the list is selected as though the user had clicked on it. any easy solutions out there??
