Simon, any chance you have a pop-up blocker installed? Even if you do, you should be able to access the demo by typing in http://localhost/avfdemo2/default.asp . Does that work? If not, are you signed on as Administrator or equivalent? .BTW., which version of .VFP. and .SP.?
