There is no "magic converter". As you know, FPDOS and VFP are so different you need to completely rewrite your application to take advantage of VFP's new features. Doing so lets you also refactor your application, separating it into logical tiers, etc. This can make it easier to maintain and let it work against other platforms (e.g. different database backend, Web frontend, etc.) so you can view it as an investment in modernization.
Of course, you could opt not to update your program, and continue to use the existing DOS version. Accounting is one field where users are still accustomed to using DOS-style screens. It is much more important to accountants to have a reliable program that gets the job done, than for it to look pretty.
