>I'm thinking to migrate from VFP to a RDBMS more robust. I have to decide between MS SQL Server 200o or 2003 and MySQL. I think that MS SQL Server can be a better choice but I would like to have comments of this forum. The price of product is not relevant (free or not).

I think that SQL Server gives you best price to feature/performance ratio.

Also, MySql was not a contender although they may change with there new released that includes triggers and SP's.

There are also other good server products out there that do certain things well, Intersys's Cache data base and Progress are good products too. Also, DB2 is supposed to be good, if you are an AS/400 shop.

I guess I would say, what is in your server room... If it is Linux, take look at MySql, if it is Unix, take a look at Oracle, if it is Windows take a look at SQL Server...

See ya,
