no i don't. if i use the following command, and switch between English and American in the regional and language options in the control pannel (making sure the date display has changed, the first time on my machine it did not do that) i will see the updated (correct) date structure in vfp6 (having set before "set sysformat on")

sele iif(.t.=.t., TTOC(duedate), space(22)) AS cMadeOnDate from comast
