Morning.
You got up early today.
>Not sure exactly what you're trying to do or where you are trying to do it from but from what I can gather, would you not be able to achieve what you want using the control's "lReadOnly" property?
OK, I like this, you don't even understand what I want to do but you get it right on spot. I'm not sure why, but I was using the BeforeChange property to return a .T. or .F. to allow the user to edit the control. lReadOnly and cReadOnlyDisplay together did a better job.
>Also, when changing property values on Codemine controls, take a look at the control's SET and SETVALUE methods that ensure that whatever other conditions need to be set when you change a Codemine control property are handled correctly.
It's always good to remind me about these ones, as I did struggle a bit in the beginning trying to change values without them ... you know, that thing about not reading the manuals ... I'm sure I would be a terrific argument to Dave at SoftClassics when selling CodeMine : "- Look, even Ivan can do it ..."
Thanks again.
