Kirk,
An RV is basically a view SQL definition. It's easy to update an SQL as database changes.
From RV, SPT, ADO RV is the easiest to deal with. But at the end it's the developer who should decide which to use and when. I like SPT too but till VFP8 there were no easy way to overcome some of its drawbacks.
