I assume you mean you are using a Codemine SQLPT cursor object type, right? This type of cursor is "read-only". You really want to be using a remote view cursor object. To do this, you need to create a remote view definition in your database. Then, specify the Remote View cursor type in the CDE and point its source to the Remote View.
