We have a new XP Pro machine and we installed IIs on it for local development/testing. Doing http://localhost/anything.htm works fine (html pages), but http://localhost/anything.asp does not. Running any ASP page gives the following error:

Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

Looking in the event log there is a warning that states:

The server failed to load application '/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT'. The error was 'No such interface supported'.

We've searched the MS support site and elsewhere, have changed permissions, security settings, and edited the registery, but no luck.

Anyone seen this and/or have any idea how to fix it?
