He estimated they'll save $100,000 annually in bandwidth costs (by moving to Terminal Services to connect from remote locations) and $300,000 in the retirement of some older hardware by adopting the new server platform (the entire case study can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/casestudies/casestudy.aspx?casestudyid=13941 ). He was a no-nonsense type of guy, and his presentation made an impact. It made me wonder if there are untapped markets for VFP in the industrial sectors (I don't know if Menlo uses any VFP apps, but I believe the performance of VFP would appeal to managers working in the industrial sectors).

Thanks for the stuff. I read it with pleasure.
Some menagers think that Cytrix is cheaper and offer the same services as WTS
Yes it is possible VFP to be used. But there are massive MS advertizing for .Net and most of managers require .Net ERP. Most of them do not know advantages of VFP.
I past trouggh MS SQL Pages and there I red that it will be supplied as part of Volume licensing.
