There are a lot of cool features in listview. It's a stable, speedy and reliable control.

Could it be a duplicate "KEY" error? Is a new node being added to the listbox, or; Is existing node data being changed. Easier if we can see the code. Or give some sample data (and columnheader names) and we will figure it out!
