Can't speak for Soft Classics but if they did, it wouldn't be your father's Codemine anymore than MM.Fox isn't MM.Net. Soft Classics use Codemine for their own work so it constantly evolves because of this. Despite what the rest of the IT world thinks of the Fox, Soft Classics seem to be thriving very nicely with Fox work and vertical markets using Fox/SQL server. There are going to be a lot more .Net revs before working with data is going to be anywhere as nice as it is in VFP. Before you drop one very RAD tool in favour of a new technology like .Net, you had better be sure that the .Net offering is at least as good as what you had. At this point in time, I don't think you can say that when it comes to working with data.

Also, 7.1.02 is VFP8 "aware". Expect to see a gradual inclusion of VFP8 features in an incremental fashion.
