You certainly would think so, wouldn't you? It would surely happen to any other business in today's market. However, those business practices have served MSFT well over the years.

This would allow a customer to be loyal to Microsoft based on service, quality of product, and price, rather than ... well you know. It would also allow a customer to select the product that best satisfies particular needs. If Microsoft insists on only working within itself, I feel it will eventually lead to her distruction.
