I guess that I thought my original design was a good one, but I was later told by someone that I need to make it a true client/server app. They said that it appears that all of the data from all of the tables was being pulled into each workstation when the user opened up a form (that is, all of the data from the tables listed in the form's Dataenvironment).

I navigate using goto, seek, filters, and filtered indexes. The application itself is very sound, just unacceptably slow.

Does this help? Am I making the right assumption that changing my accesses to remote views will improve things?
