No condolences needed. It was a nice change of pace.

>How do you like the .NET stuff?

So far so good. To be honest, to date, I've only just started building my framework and tools. I like the IDE, love the language (C#), dig the functionality in the .NET classes (with a few glaring exceptions). I miss VFP's form designer though.

VB.NET has too much baggage for me. I know there're a lot of niceties built in to the language that you don't get with C#, but I'm toolsmith at heart, so I don't mind making my own.

C# is just such an elegant language. I am a bit biased I know, because it looks a lot like Java, which I am already comfortable with.
