The handling of visual controls seems a little klunky at first, but when you start building your own sublclassed controls, it turns to be really cool. I like the fact that classes are compiled, so they act at design time the same way that they to at runtime.

Agree on both statements. VB.NET is a modern version of the VB language, but with all the old vices around.
