Hi,

But then for not obbvious reason one will have the optiongroup value changed without any user interaction.
The strtofile will have text that says the value was okay on the form init event and a second entry that states interactivechange event has fired showing a different value than the form init value.

Seems like you have two issues here.
If InterActiveChange() code has executed with no user input then I'd assume that InterActiveChange() is being called somewhere in code. Have you excluded this possibility ?
Secondly, if the optiongroup value has changed then it indicates there's either code moving the relevant record pointer or changing the value. Why not stick a breakpoint on the optiongroup value ?

Viv
