I have no need for ODBC drivers in my application, but 3 out of 5 customers that isntall my simple vfp8 RunTime, still get:

Error 1919 error configuring odbc data source foxpro files
odbc error 6, component not found in the registry.
verify that the fox pro files exist and you can access it.

So, I figured, I better add the ODBC Drivers, even if my application does not require them. So, I did select the "Visual FoxPro ODBC Drivers" under "Objects and Merge Modules". But the problem still persists !

So now, I am thinking, maybe I should look under "Configuring the Target System" and "ODBC Resources" under that. But I don't understand these selections. For example, should I select anything and everything that has to do with .dbf files, or FoxPro (Visual or not) ? ...

Here are the list of selection under "ODBC Resources", having to do with Foxpro and dbf files:

Microsoft dbase Driver (*.dbf)
- dBase files

Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver
- Visual FoxPro Tables
- Visual FocPro Database

Microsoft Foxpro VFP Driver (*.dbf)
Microsoft dbase VFP Driver (*.dbf)

Microsoft dBase Treiber (what does this mean?!)
Microsoft Visual FoxPro Treiber (that work again..)

Driver para o Microsoft Visual Foxpro
Driver do Microsoft dbase (*.dbf).

Microsoft Foxpro Driver (*.dbf)
- Foxpro Files

Which one of these should I select ? (I would really rather not select any of them, cause I don't use them).

What I am baffled by is that I am not doing anyting out of the ordinary with my RunTime installation (just selecting Foxpro8 Resources, and that's all, so, why is it ONLY me that is having this ODBC problem ?

I have also Exported the Registery entries for the "ODBC" key under SOFTWARE, for both Local_Machine and Local_User categories, which is quite complicated. There are many enties that are different from a machine that has the error, and the one that does not. So, where do I start there ?

Hate to use my only Microsoft Tech Support Instance on this. So, I would appreciate your help.
