My point is that a object like Custom with a property that refers to a Session object does not function like a form with a private DS. In that situation, I can issue the following:

USE MyTable
SET DATASESSION TO This.oSession.DataSessionID
USE MyTable

The table is now open in TWO places. The same can not be said for a form with a private DS. The table would only be open in 1 place with respect to that form and its private DS.

I will give you formsets since that is a special set of forms. Their use is most highly not recommended however. Could you explain why the Toolbar?
