This message has been marked as the solution to the initial question of the thread.
>I am trying to create a report by adding records to an empty frx table. After doing so, the report has problems with it when viewing it in the report designer. I can't seem to find the problems. Is it possible to create a report this way or is it not worth the trouble?

yes, you can do it, but you have to have fully control of what you're doing because a single wrong value in there will make the report unusable.

Two things that may help you better understand how you can do that:

* Doug Hennig's class that lets you create reports in OOP fashion. You can find it at www.stonefield.com (I think under 'whitepapers')

* Under the VFP's installation directory you'll find the Tools\Filespec folder. Open up a project file that's in it, and you'll find some reports that describes the FRX table structure.
