Hello, I've previously written to this forum regarding some issues I was having with getting the WWW Search Page Wizard example working.
I'm still trying to figure out how I can get internet access to my VFP database files. I've looked through the ISAPI example in the VFP samples\server\foxisapi\ directory and got as far as getting the following error in my browser when I set it up:
FOXISAPI call failed
Progid is: FoxIS.employee
Method is: startup
Parameters are:
parameters are:
CoCreateInstance failed with err code 80080005: Server execution failed
I am runnin Windows95 OSR2.1 as the client side and WindowsNT 4.0 Service Pack 3 (IIS 3.0) as the HTTP server. Copied the entire '\samples\data' and 'samples\server\foxisapi' into my scripts directory - so I don't think this is a path problem. On the server I get a DLL load error with USER32.DLL when I attempt to execute the sample link they provide:
...Do I need to have Visual C++ in order to get an ISAPI server working with VFP? I have installed VFP onto my HTTP server.
I really don't want to waste anyone's time with getting a full-blown training course on this stuff, but if someone knows of where I could get a clear, defined, simple reference of how to get access to my VFP data via the internet I would be eternally indebted to you.
Is there something that I am missing the documentation provided by MS? I've been using the online documentation, Chapter 16: Adding OLE, and the help section for the WWW Search Page Wizard under 'Samples and utilities'.
Sorry for the long message, but I wanted to be detailed as possible.
