Hi ken,

>Submitting a bug to Microsoft is not a black hole. VFP 8.0 fixed many things that were problems in previous versions, most of which were submitted to Microsoft threw the support web site.

I did not mean to say that things did not get fixed, but to the poster it seems like a black hole, because:
1. No confirmation of the message recieved.
2. No confirmation of the bug beeing reproduced.
3. No confirmation if the bug is already entered or in process of beeing solved.

See the BUG I reported yesterday. I posted the repro code, JimS confirmed it and gave me additional information that it was a bug that has its origin in VFP 5. As a developer I can safely sleep because now I know:
1. It was confirmed to be a bug.
2. It has been put on the list of bugs.

Compare your bug reporting facility to for example Seagate Software:
1. You always get a confirmation that you BUG was recieved.
2. You will get a personal email that discusses the issue.
3. You're able to personally discuss the bug and the conditions under which the bug occurs.

All this stuff might not seem important to you, but I can tell that most developer arround here find it extremely usefull to have such interaction with the VFP team.

Walter,
