I have just finished an application which transfers data throught the winsock. The application is working fine but i am noticing that it is using a very few percentage of the bandwith available. We have a 100mps network and this application sends a large file from one pc to another on this network. The data is about 4mb in size. So logically it should take less than a minute to be send from one point to another. But the data transfer is extremely slow cause it is sending it at about 0.5% of the bandwidth available. Thus it is taking about seven minutes to send 4mb of data.

Am i missing a point or is there a way to increase the transfer rate?
