Hi Cetin,
I think you may have missed the sarcasm in my reply. I have no problem with using DBF's and readily use SQL server or Oracle when it makes sense to do so. I really have no need to write a tool to duplicate the functionality of Enterprise Manager to use MSDE. I already have SQL server for that.

All applications that I write these days use remote views and SPT to access the data so it is very easy to change database backend with no change to the application. The only change is the connection to the database. Most of my users "choose" VFP databases because it costs them nothing extra, or they are not concerned with data security or DBF limitations and they do not need a db administrator to manage it. My point is that the user has a choice of database backend and the application functions the same for whatever choice they make. VFP is a great development tool and its data engine makes it very powerful and easy to develop applications for small business as well as enterprise solutions, no matter what database you choose to use.
