>I created a DBF with data as a data source for a Word Merge Document. I created a standalone form with the Mail Merge Object Foundation Class. If I run the form the merge functions properly. If I incorporate the Merge Class into my application where I create the data prior to calling the merge, I get 'Data Type Mismatch', followed by 'Cannot Find FoxPro ODBC Drivers'. I reinstalled the drivers but to know avail. In addition, after I run my app, I get the same Merge error even when I run the standalone form. Any ideas?
Chaim-
I just had to create an entire "Mailmerge" application. Using the ODBC driver was such a mess, I bought the Office Automation book from Hentzenwerke, read the chapter that suggests an alternative and had the entire solution up and running withing 2 hours. Right now, unless forced to, I won't use the ODBC approach. You would be wise to get the book (you can download it from their website (after purchasing it of course).
The approach they take is straight forward (although I did have to make a few modifications). The code can be used almost without a single change.
If you need any help, please get back to me.
Gut Vacht.
