Look at gofish utility in downloads here at UT. It should do what you want to do and more.

For example there is a common function "getCustomerInfo" Say i want to search those 50 files for the string "getCommonInfo" is there anyway to do this? The 50 files are in multiple directories and subfolders and are mixed up with hundreds of other unused .prgs. So i can't use the Windows search function to search the 50 files. I am using VFP 8.
