Ouch!, I'm afraid then what I was trying to do will never work. I have a vfp application, whose database files are shared on an NT4 server via a SNAP server. THe files reside on an NTFS partition of the snap. I need to be able to read & write records to those data files.

So in order to make it work, I would have to create a fat partition on my snap server and move my data files to that. Essentially going backwards in technology to suit one client. Probably not feesible for me at this time.

Thanks very much though, I was not aware of that.
