Hi tore,
>If I understand you correctly, you want to be able to change the return value of a function, and want your change to update the input of the function? That is simply impossible in all languages I have heard of.
No this is possible as long as you define your view in code. You simply state that a updates from a certain fields should be written back to a field in another table. This is what views are all about. I guess the view designer looses the information about which field because there a function wrapped arround the field and therefore the view designer decides it is not updatable.
However, it seems strange to me that if I change the DBSETPROP settings via the SQL syntax window, it is not saved. As I said I could work arround the issue to define the view in code rather than via the view designer.
