Hi Neil,
>Hi,
>
>The reason why you can't help me is because you have not done anything as stupid as I did. I left out the drive specifier when I defined my INSTALLDIR. IE: instead of c:\eCentric I entered eCentric.
I run once in a problem similar to this, but it does not display a error number.
What I know: You have changed INSTALLDIR.
It does not matter if the Drive exists.
What I have found on my project
If you whatch the Value of INSTALLDIR you see a VAR like {Somedir1}E: or the like. The Problem is that the old {Somedir0} remains on the PROPERTY table. This is checked and caused the failure.
Solution:
Make a backup copy of your project. ::)
Read the Property in INSTALLDIR (that enclosed in {})
Look for 'Property Manager' in the tree. Search in the column 'Value' for the path the error message shows. Check property ('Name') with that from INSTALLDIR.
Delete the line defining the Property.
Select 'Direct Editor' in the tree, Select 'Directory' table. Check for paths that are like the wrong one and delete them. If you are not familiar with MSI tables you may like to press
within the table for help.
Check if the prject runs.

>>>Hi,
>>>
>>>I just produced my first vfp8 ISE project. I checked off all the appropriate merge files, included all of my exe and data tables and obtained a sucessful build. I distributed the setup to c:\imagefolder and then copied c:\imagefolder\*.* to a zip disk. I placed the zip disk into my server and doubled clicked on setup.exe. ISE placed a dialog on my desktop:
>>>
>>>Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for eCentricPractice WebDirector
>>>
>>>Then after waiting for 30+ seconds I get the error:
>>>
>>>Error 1606. Could not access network location eCentric.
>>>
>>>Please note that eCentric is a folder on my c: drive and I have a permissions properly set. I can delete, write, read, copy to and from. Is it in the ISE or the server?
