While I respect your feelings about this, and some forms of recreation can have a more devastating effect on a person's life than others, I would welcome a DevCon in Vegas. Some people choose to spend their "recreational" income on sporting events, travel, fishing, hunting, and all sorts of other hobbies. Some, however, choose to go to places like Las Vegas to gamble as their recreation of choice.

The 4 times I went to an Advisor DevCon, the resort facilities were an absolute waste of money for me and almost all other attendees who shelled out the enormous hotel rates and airfare to get there, especially Palm Springs CA. Overall VFP conference attendance has NOT declined over the last 5 years, it has just migrated away from the Advisor DevCons to other more reasonably priced conferences. Too bad, you can not help Advisor Pub, in your capacity, get a clue and start better serving their customers.
