I'm confident that many people besides myself were delighted to see that Microsoft is publicly committed to support VFP until (at least) 2010.
I'm sure that, in the period between, there is ample time for .NET to mature and for us VFP hangers-on to move to that tool.

I'd like to get some idea, though, of what form we can expect such "support" to take.

I note, for instance, that the MSDN Library - April 2003 seems to have been 'purged' of entries related directly and specifically and only to VFP (there remain a few articles when the main subject is some other MS product and VFP is implicated).
In the case of a search for a known VFP entry in the MSKB (Q190496 for example) it simply returns not found. It would be a modest step in the right direction if it at least returned a link to the place where it can be found.
Is there some new method that should be used to locate MSBK articles related directly to VFP?

Take, also, the article Q190496 cited above. It **is** available through the web, at:

However, the article lists VFP3.0, VFP3.0b, VFP5.0, VFP5.0a and VFP6.0 as being the pertinent VFP versions.
Note too that the article's title is: "PRB: SEEK Finds Old and New Data With Optimistic Buffering" and since it says "PRB:" (not "FIX:") the reader seems correct in assuming that it remains a problem.
Finally, note that the article's "Last Reviewed" (date) is 5/12/2003, which I interpret as May 12, 2003. Since it was reviewed so recently one cannot help but ask
Where is VFP 7.0 and VFP8 in the list of pertinent versions?

The above is the situation as at May 30, 2003.
It appears that Microsoft has something in mind when it says it will be supporting VFP until 2010.
Can you share with us what we can expect as time moves toward that date?
