Thanks for the information. I expected a similar response and it was my expectation that WSH would be part of WinXP. I think my user is the one with a problem. I found the MS download site myself last night but waited for your feedback before suggesting he try it. The really strange thing is that it works on my WinXP, his Win98 and on the WinXP at the college where he teaches 'older' computer users. So I really believe the problem lies with his computer.

Thanks again for all your help and advice with this problem. It is just another example of: nothing every going the way you expect with computers!!!
