** in my main
oSDI=CREATEOBJECT("APPTOPLEVELFORM")
oSDI.SHOW()

I have downloaded VFP 6.0 SP5 and will try it today. Can VFP 8.0 be used on the older Win95 machines? Also, our original software was converted from FoxPro and has browse windows, uses SAVE TO and CREATE VIEW, _SCREEN.Visible = .T. for reports, and a other older styles of programming. Is 8.0 100% compatible with older versions?

Last question and it is off topic but things have gone from bad to worse - I have put myself in a bit of a jam by putting my laptop into safe mode via changing the boot.ini through the msconfig. Now when the Atl+Cntl+Del screen is displayed, my laptop's keyboard and mouse do not work. I have pressed F8 and get the option screen, but no matter what I choose I still go into Safe Mode. Any ideas how I can either get it out of Safe Mode, change the boot.ini, or get control of a keyboard or mouse.

>>I am getting a C000008E on a VFP SP3 application on an osdi.refresh() command on my XP machine. I can reproduce it every time. My clients get either "RT.exe has generated errors & will be closed by windows, you will need to restart the program." on W2K or "A Problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer ....." for XP when they do the same steps. Nobody that uses one of the old Win95 machines gets the error.
