Last off topic - I made a boot floppy. My laptop does not have a floppy so I copied the files to a CD. My BIOS says to first boot from the multibay. I put the CD in the machine and turn it on. I get the black screen boot stuff, then the Windows XP loading screen, then blue screen, then black screen with Safe Mode in each of the four corners and the Alt+Ctrl+Del and no mouse and no keyboard. What can I do differently?

>Do you have a boot floppy? Can you make one from another machine? That should at least allow you to boot to DOS so you can edit the ini file.

>>Last question and it is off topic but things have gone from bad to worse - I have put myself in a bit of a jam by putting my laptop into safe mode via changing the boot.ini through the msconfig. Now when the Atl+Cntl+Del screen is displayed, my laptop's keyboard and mouse do not work. I have pressed F8 and get the option screen, but no matter what I choose I still go into Safe Mode. Any ideas how I can either get it out of Safe Mode, change the boot.ini, or get control of a keyboard or mouse.
