Now I am sorry about being so slow because I still do not understand what it is you are trying to accomplish here. I thought that your combo had a list of descriptions and their associated key values and that you needed to replace the foreign key in the combo's ControlSource with the PK of the entry in the combo. Is this not so?

If this is the case, you do not need any extra code to update the combo's controlSource.

If it is not, I would be happy to assist you if you can help me to understand what it is that you are trying to accomplish < s >.
